        The mission board supports the purpose, values, & goals of Living Water Church to:    see all people live & grow in relationship with one another & with God, advancing His Kingdom with the light of Christ, in the power of the Spirit, pushing back the darkness, so that, the least, last, & lost are touched by the love of God, & the people of God live into their destiny as world-changers.

Outreach & Mission Ministry: 

Local Outreach:

Coffee House:                                              

            Every other month, on a Friday evening, a coffee house, featuring Christian music, is offered & open to adults.  Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, & sweet treats are available.

Joining Forces For Families:

            This Dane County program, gives Christmas gifts to needy children.  Many other services, throughout the year, are available.  www.danecountyhumanservices.org/cyf_jff.shtm

Sunshine Place:

            Sun Prairie’s one-stop place for food pantry & social services for over 400 families each month.  Wicker baskets are continually available, in the entry area, for donations of non-perishable food & household/paper supplies.  Laundry & dish soap are especially needed at holiday time.  www.sunshineplace.org

Vandenberg Carnival:

            Joining with other local churches:  games, food, school supplies, backpacks, & prayers are offered, in August, to children & families in Vandenberg neighborhood through PRAY Sun Prairie. 

Touched-Twice Clinic:

            Assist other Christian volunteers provide medical, dental, & financial services, a meal, clothing, & food pantry items to needy Madison area families on a Saturday in April & August.  www.touchedtwicemadison.org.

Habitat for Humanity & Thrivent Builds:

            Teens & adults assist with various construction activities of  housing units for Madison area families, on a Saturday.  Lunch was prepared for these hearty workers.  www.habitatdane.org

 Care Net Pregnancy:

            Sanctity of Life Sunday in January, video clip, bulletin inserts, & table display.  Mothers’ to Fathers’ Day, baby bottle fund raiser supports the Elizabeth House & Madison area programs.  www.carenetdane.org

Global Missions:

Samaritan’s Purse:  Operation Christmas Child:

            In conjunction with the organizing efforts of children’s ministry, members purchase school & health supplies to fill & send 80 shoeboxes to needy children around the world.  www.samaritanspurse.org

Mission Impact—Guatemala:

            Joining with a mission building team from Sauk City, several congregational members travel each January to help construct schools in small mountain towns, near Antigua, Guatemala.  www.missionimpact.com

Rupert Harrell Mission Ministry:

            One of our members spent several mission trips in Viet Nam & Cambodia, to bring medical & educational supplies to people in need of reconciliation & hope. www.rupertharrellministry.org.

Youth With A Mission:  DTS:

            High school & college youth spend several months in Discipleship Training School & then several months sharing Jesus’ love in third world countries.  www.ywammadison.org

YWAM:  10-40:

            We support a congregational family, as full-time missionairies, in China for five years.  www.ywamchina.org

Mission to Nigeria, Africa:

            We are supporting missionaries Rich & Debi Ried, in their efforts to plant self-sustaining churches in Nigeria, Africa & especially focusing on children’s ministry.   www.rickeyried@yahoo.com  

Arusha, Tanzania, Africa:

            New Life Band has a well established ministry to youth in central Africa.  Their long-term goals include a campus with elementary, secondary, & trade schools, clinic, hostel, & dorms.  Construction & mercy service mission teams were sent in July of ’02 & ’07, with tentative plans for summer ’10.  www.newlifeband.org
